What is progressive wage model pwm?

Use of OED for PWM Assessment

What is Progressive Wage Model (PWM)?

The Progressive Wage Model (PWM) is a team effort involving unions, employers, and the government to boost the wages of lower-income workers. It’s not just about money; PWM creates a clear path for lower wage workers” pay to increase through training and improved productivity.

How is the OED Data Used to Assess Progressive Wage (PW) Mark Eligibility?

Using data from the Occupational Employment Dataset (OED), we figure out the salary requirements your employees need to meet. We also check this data against the wages you reported to the Central Provident Fund Board (CPFB) to see if your organization meets the PWM standards. The company can improve its corporate image by earning Pw Mark accreditation, by being rewarded for promoting policies towards low-wage workers.

Employment details, wages work locations, and pw mark accreditation.

Who is covered under PWM?

The Progressive Wage Model (PWM) is like a fairness umbrella, covering Singapore citizens and permanent residents in jobs like cleaning, security, landscape, lift and escalator, retail, food services, and waste management. To identify employees under the Progressive Wage Model (PWM), align their job descriptions with the designated sectors.

Even foreign employees benefit from progressive wages when employers apply the principles of progressive wage.

For this to work smoothly, please ensure you have given consent for the results of the survey assessment to be shared with the relevant government agencies. It’s a simple way to ensure that fairness and progress reach everyone in the workforce. Find out more about the expansion of PW approach and coverage.

How should I declare “PWM Job Level” for employees with multiple roles?

When employees juggle multiple roles, declare them under the one they spend most of their time on. Pay according to that role. Whether it is PWM or non-PWM, go with the majority of their time. For example, 60% Admin Executive and 40% Logistics Assistant means they’re classified as Admin Executive. Keep it straightforward for smooth operations.
